Questions, answered
Does Greenline give tax advice?
No. Greenline organizes and shows your own numbers: cost base, gains, and income. What to do with them is between you and your accountant.
How is ACB handled across accounts?
Cost base is tracked per holding and per lot in your non-registered accounts. Registered accounts like a TFSA or RRSP are kept out of your tax math automatically.
What about reinvested dividends?
Logged DRIPs adjust your cost base as they happen, which is exactly where spreadsheet ACB tracking usually falls apart.
Can I catch up if I have never tracked ACB?
Yes. Import your history, PDFs, CSVs, or manual entries, and Greenline rebuilds your cost base from your actual transactions.
