Welcome to Greenline, a personal finance platform operated by Greenline Platforms Inc., a federally incorporated company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (“Greenline,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including our website, mobile app, dashboard, tools, and communications (collectively, the “Platform”).

By clicking “I Agree” or by using Greenline, you are electronically signing this agreement and consenting to its terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You may use Greenline only if you are a Canadian resident (international support may be added later), you are the age of majority in your province or territory, you are using the Platform for personal, lawful, and non-commercial purposes, and you agree to comply with all applicable laws. Greenline is intended for individual use only. Use of the Platform for institutional, business, or commercial investment management is not permitted without written authorization from Greenline. Each account is intended for a single user. Sharing login credentials or account access with others is prohibited.

2. Our Services

Greenline provides a personal investment portfolio tracking experience. Features include linking brokerage accounts via third-party services like Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity, or MX; viewing holdings and performance; importing data via CSV, PDF, or manual entry; generating illustrative financial insights; and displaying market data and visualizations.

Greenline is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes. It does not provide personalized financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice; investment recommendations or solicitations; or real-time or guaranteed-accurate data. For official investment records, refer to your financial institution’s statements.

Your use of the Platform may also be subject to third-party terms of service, including those of Plaid, Google, Apple, and your app store provider. By linking an account or using the app, you agree to those third-party terms. Greenline may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or unexpected outages. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.

3. Subscription & Payment

Greenline operates on a subscription model. Some features may be free; premium features may require payment via Stripe, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. By subscribing, you agree to the current pricing and billing terms, the terms of your chosen payment provider, and automatic renewal of your subscription unless you cancel before the end of your billing cycle. No refunds will be issued unless required by law. We may update fees with prior notice.

4. Privacy and Data Handling

Greenline collects and stores certain personal and financial information, including name, email address, year of birth, and portfolio data such as holdings, transactions, and account values. This data may be provided via linked brokerage accounts (through providers such as Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity, or MX), uploaded CSV/PDF files, or manual entry. We do not store bank account numbers, usernames, or passwords.

We use analytics and tracking tools (such as Google Analytics, PostHog, or similar) on both our website and platform to understand usage and improve performance. We strive to exclude personal financial data from analytics tools, but cannot guarantee complete exclusion. By using Greenline, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.

We are not responsible for tracking or data collection by third-party providers including Google, PostHog, Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity, MX, Logto, Render, Amazon Web Services, or others.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

We retain basic account information for 30 days post-deletion. Personal financial data is deleted within 90 days of account closure. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely. You may request expedited deletion by contacting support@usegreenline.com.

5. Data Privacy

All user data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols. Personally identifiable information (PII) is encrypted through server-side processes, thereby preventing direct access or decryption by our systems. Access is strictly controlled using role-based access controls (RBAC). We regularly review and update our security practices.

6. Data Processing and Background Services

Greenline may use automated systems, machine learning, and analytics tools to deliver functionality and insights. This includes use of large language models (LLMs) from providers such as OpenAI. If used, LLMs may process anonymized or partial data, and are subject to the providers’ own data handling and retention policies.

7. No Financial Advice or Guarantees

Greenline is not a bank, brokerage, advisor, or asset manager. Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice; a recommendation to buy/sell securities; or a guarantee of any financial outcome. All projections are illustrative only. You should consult a licensed professional before making decisions.

8. Data Accuracy and Limitations

We do not guarantee accuracy. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. The quality of your experience depends on the accuracy of the data you provide and the reliability of third-party services. We are not responsible for inaccurate data, manual input errors, or issues with Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity, MX, AWS, or other providers.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Greenline for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose. You must not reverse engineer, extract data from, or interfere with the performance or security of the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and your data accurate.

10. Intellectual Property

All content and technology on the Platform is owned or licensed by Greenline Platforms Inc. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.

11. Forward-Looking Statements

We may include forward-looking projections. These are speculative and subject to change. Actual outcomes may differ.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use or inability to use the Platform, reliance on any content or communication, errors in data, or third-party service failures. The Platform is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. For material changes, we will notify you via email and display a prominent in-app notice for at least 14 days. Updated Terms will take effect 30 days after notice is provided. Your continued use of Greenline means acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using Greenline at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. We may delete inactive accounts after an extended period.

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any legal disputes must be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario. You waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or outages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power failures, cybersecurity incidents, public health emergencies, or regulatory changes.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Greenline Platforms Inc. for any claims resulting from your misuse of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

19. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the full agreement between you and Greenline. They supersede any prior communications or understandings.
